Old Cornish Mine Series
The Old Cornish Mine series of matchboxes first appeared in England in 1962. The first series contained 36 matches, later series had 35 matches and then 34 matches.
Although the labels say “series of 50″ only 21 different illustrations were used. Click here for a list of these.
These illustrations appeared on small size, regular size, dozen, gross and mantelpiece size labels.
