President Garfield

Left Bude in a light NE wind but was unable to clear the coast and was driven to the rocks on the North side of Bude Haven on 14th March 1896. The Bude lifeboat Elizabeth Moor Gordon 2 was quickly launched via the canal and rescued the crew of three.
