Bound from Baltimore for London with 39 crew, 4 cattlemen, 2 passengers 2900 tons general cargo and 161 head of cattle, the steamship ran ashore under Old Lizard Head in a dense fog on 28th September 1886 where she later broke her back and became a total wreck. All crew were saved but most of the cattle were lost.
