Mitchell's Winding Engine

This 30 inch cylinder beam engine at East Pool was built by Holmon Bros of Camborne in 1887. It ceased work in 1920/21 and was donated to the Cornish Engine Preservation Society (now the "Trevithick Society”) and is now owned by the National Trust.

The illustration appeared on 3 known labels. The boxes were issued in 1967 with an unusual reverse label saying “Safe-Sure”. They were made in Hong Kong.
